🤖 What really is a Copilot Prompt and Prompt of the Week

G'day there Reader, if you celebrate Easter, I hope you have had a nice little break with friends and family and enjoyed those Easter eggs 🐰.

Let me first start by welcoming 👋 the hundreds of new subscribers and members of the Copilot Studio Community in the past few days, it is amazing to see so many new people coming on board.

I welcome all replies to the newsletter editions so please hit reply and let me know where you are at in your Copilot journey. Do you need help? are your frustrated? want to learn something or just asks a question? Hit Reply and let me know.

Now onto today's edition.

Are you new to using Copilot? you are in the right place. Let's start with a few basics and fundamentals.

What is a prompt? A prompt is simply how you ask Copilot to do something for you.

For example: "Can you please summarize this document into 5 key points".

or

"Can you please Draft an email to the CEO asking to replace the coffee machine in the lunchroom. Please write in a professional tone with a little humor."

Most prompts that you give Copilot will be most likely in one of these categories:

  • Create
  • Edit
  • Ask
  • Catch up
  • Understand

In the next edition we will break down the different components of writing a good prompt.

So, you're new to Copilot? well everyone is 😜

🤖 Copilot Coaching. These 1:1 and Group Coaching Sessions are personalized and tailored sessions run by me Daniel Anderson | Microsoft MVP. They are designed to arm you with the skills to harness the remarkable capabilities of Microsoft Copilot specifically within your role. To help you dial in your Copilot knowledge and strategy, work through individual and or business use cases, realizing the overall return on investment, or other ways in which Microsoft 365 Copilot can help in your role or business.

To ensure that I can provide the best level of coaching, advice, mentorship and service I am strictly limiting enrolment to a maximum of 10 People. So, it will be first come first served and when a position opens then you will be notified if and when that occurs.

What Coaching With Me Looks Like?

✅ As mentioned, I only have 10 coaching spots. If all 10 spots are taken, when a spot opens up, I’ll prioritize people on the waitlist.

✅ It’s month-to-month. Stay as long or as short as you want. Just remember that results don’t happen overnight.

✅ 60-minute “Kickoff” call when we start so we can frame your goals and our coaching together.

✅ Weekly 30-minute Microsoft Teams calls with me.

✅ Monthly 60-minute Group / Cohort calls with me and the group

✅ Private Teams DM with me so you can ask questions, get feedback ideas, use me as a sounding board in between our calls, etc…
