🧙‍♂️ The Subtle Art of creating amazing SharePoint Quick Links

G'day there Reader,

Everyone wants a nice looking SharePoint Page. We want them to provide value, ensure they are engaging and visually appealing.

Oh and useful... but really, we want them to look nice 😜.

There is no reason to have to have an old school links list of text, you know the ones that are blue and underlined. Nor do we need to use the Out of the Box Icons that are available with the SharePoint Quick Links Web Part (although they are good in some contexts).

In the latest video, I will show you how you can make your Quick Links really POP by creating your own graphics to use.

By combining Microsoft Designer and Canva, you can really quickly and easily create imagery that will make your SharePoint Pages the envy of your company.

So, you're new to Copilot? well everyone is 😜

🤖 Copilot Coaching. These 1:1 and Group Coaching Sessions are personalized and tailored sessions run by me Daniel Anderson | Microsoft MVP. They are designed to arm you with the skills to harness the remarkable capabilities of Microsoft Copilot specifically within your role. To help you dial in your Copilot knowledge and strategy, work through individual and or business use cases, realizing the overall return on investment, or other ways in which Microsoft 365 Copilot can help in your role or business.

To ensure that I can provide the best level of coaching, advice, mentorship and service I am strictly limiting enrolment to a maximum of 10 People. So, it will be first come first served and when a position opens then you will be notified if and when that occurs.

What Coaching With Me Looks Like?

✅ As mentioned, I only have 10 coaching spots. If all 10 spots are taken, when a spot opens up, I’ll prioritize people on the waitlist.

✅ It’s month-to-month. Stay as long or as short as you want. Just remember that results don’t happen overnight.

✅ 60-minute “Kickoff” call when we start so we can frame your goals and our coaching together.

✅ Weekly 30-minute Microsoft Teams calls with me.

✅ Monthly 60-minute Group / Cohort calls with me and the group

✅ Private Teams DM with me so you can ask questions, get feedback ideas, use me as a sounding board in between our calls, etc…

First let me outline the dimensions that you will want to understand when creating images / icons for your Quick Links. TO get the best results you will want to use these:

  • Aspect Ratio: 16:9
  • Pixel Dimensions: 1920 X 1080 (this is what I have found to work best)

SO, check out the video 👇, and I would love you to hit the reply button and let me know how you get on and what you create.

Watch, follow along and learn how to create nice looking Quick Links.

G'day there, I spent 55 minutes this week recording something I probably should have made years ago. It’s a masterclass on SharePoint document management. And before you roll your eyes and think “ugh, another boring SharePoint tutorial,” hear me out. This came about because I keep having the same conversation over and over again. Someone reaches out frustrated because their team treats SharePoint like a digital dumping ground. Files everywhere, nothing findable, everyone reverting back to...

G'day there, I spent yesterday building two different AI tools from the same 140-page compliance manual, and I figured you'd want to know what I learned. You've probably seen the new Copilot-powered FAQ web part in SharePoint. Maybe you're wondering if you should use that or build a Copilot agent instead. Most people think they need to pick one. Nope. They're for different types of people on your team. The FAQ is for your "just give me the answer" people. You know who I'm talking about. They...

G'day Reader, Voice is rapidly becoming the preferred way to interact with AI. The stats back it up - voice input is 3x faster than typing, captures emotional nuance, and breaks down accessibility barriers. But here's what makes this especially powerful for us in the Microsoft 365 world: Voice fundamentally changes how we work with Copilot. Why voice works better with AI Traditional text prompts lose tone, emotion, and context. Voice captures all of that. When you speak to Copilot, you're...
